WM: i3, sway, also playing around with dwm
DE: Xfce
I just need basic functionality, and most tiling WMs are fairly similar. i3 vs. Sway is basically the Xorg vs. Wayland question. I like dwm for its absolute minimalism and the fact that you configure it by editing or patching C and recompiling.

World News@lemmy.world•Starmer suggests US 'trying to interfere in our democracy' after Vance blames UK teen's death on mass migrationEnglish
310·2 days agoWhat has Prince Andrew to do with mass immigration? Never read such nonsense, but what else can I expect from leftist 🤷♂️AFAIK they never work, always the others have to pay, never take responsibility for their actions, it is always the others’ fault … they are lost cases.
Now you can downvote me into oblivion, because this is the only thing you can do 😂😂😂

Programming@programming.dev•Which programming language had the best visualisation support?
1·2 days agoI jumped on Julia in the beginning (somewhere around 2015). I even bought the data analysis book by Bogumil Kaminski published a few years ago. However, Julia never made me feel comfortable. The syntax felt too complicated, even for smaller things. In addition, I kept running into compilation and package version issues, which cost me more time than I gained from typing or vectorization. The claims of some Julia followers that the language would soon surpass R or Python added another bad taste to the whole experience. I think this is part of the reason why Julia remains a niche language to this day. I stopped using it completely.

3·4 days agoPoland has been and is still the largest beneficiary of EU funds. I assume that some part of the EU money is used to pay the US. If this is indeed the case, it is betrayal at best, because the EU wants clearly to distance itself from the US.

1·8 days agoMay be my words were not clear enough: THEY SEE what you do with and in your smartphone, public or private - does not matter. Otherwise just watch a doc on YouTube or PeerTube about Pegasus or read in the web. This is serious stuff and nothing to make fun about, because it violates your private sphere.

2·11 days agoYou can well imagine that this reaction will fall on fruitful ground that some security experts will think twice about sending it to M$ or better selling it on the dark web, especially zero day exploits! Hell, boy, Microsoft does not seem to know with whom they are messing with.
AFAIK on Reddit you get BANNED right away. If you are lucky for few days, otherwise eternally.
