Thanks for the clarification. It was not my intention to downplay the risk of carbon monoxide. Hence my comment about proper ventilation.
CO detectors are a good investment 👍🏻
Correct, Covid facemask does nothing to help with gasses. Op should use extractor fan and ventilation. Additionally: the acute dangers of gas-stoves are highly exaggerated. With proper ventilation there’s nothing to worry about.
I’m sorry you had to go through that. Totally agree with you about the whole thing. I was a happy oblivious dad to be, right up to the point where we lost the little bean. Nobody told me that a LOT of pregnancies turn out to be a dud. If I knew beforehand, I would’ve been better prepared. Alas, I was not prepared and it broke my heart. There’s a whole other side to pregnancies. When can we finally be realistic about it? That would be so helpful for all new moms and dads.
Guess dad was right?
Fietsers jonguh! 🤮
Laptop repair guy here! This problem is common in consumer grade laptops. As far as I am concerned, it’s purposefully weakly designed, because these break a LOT.
Not the hinge is broken, but the mounting points for the screws that keep the hinge in place. Sometimes it breaks on the bottom case, sometimes it breaks on the screen side.
We fix these issues regularly with epoxy (and massive skillz, lol). With most hinges, you can adjust the force a little lighter to relieve the pressure on the mounting points. That way it doesn’t fail again, after repair.
