I don’t really know what’s out there, but FWIW, I’d point out that there is nothing functional about the coupling between the pendulum and the clock in such a movement, so if you could find a separate “pendulum swinger” you could perhaps use that with a regular DST capable movement.
What I don’t understand is why so many people start using the object form of a pronoun as a subject the minute there is an “and”. “Me and her went to the store.”
(I know this is the opposite of the pretentious overcompensation of using “I” as an object you’re likely to see in a corporate meeting. But why?)
It’s fine is used properly, but management tends to use it to mean “magically gooder.”

Glad to hear the dryer vent is being changed, that actually worried me most. It’s wasn’t the sag, but the extra length, the sharp bends, and the duct material.

It’s not the pipes I meant, but the flexible hookup hoses. They make metal ones, and I’ve been told they are more reliable then the rubber (vinyl?) ones that these appear to be.
I stand corrected. I checked where my plumber had connected pvc to the iron stack, and it does use hose clamps but as part of something a little more convincing. It’s basically a sleeve with 4 hose clamps mounted on it.
What terminal app do you use, and what do you use to do the remapping?
Again with the hose clamps. I’ve never seen a real plumber connect things with hose clamps.

The black snakey pipe that does a loop is the drain line? And the washer drains into it from far below against gravity through that thin flexible hose? And it is held on with a hose clamp at the end? I’m no expert, but I wonder about those things…
The hot and cold inlet lines also, I’ve been told always fail eventually and that you should use the metal ones instead.
And is that silver ducting the drier vent? If so, that’s a problem too.
Are the two of you more visually oriented than verbally oriented? If so, it’s really cool that you stumbled on a better way to connect than talking.
I’ve read that removing earwax constantly can actually cause more earwax production.
Personally I do use qtips after every shower. Most of the time I don’t get anything, and all I’m accomplishing is mopping up moisture. Once in a while I get a smear of orange wax and go in for a repeat. I think it varies wildly though; there is a big distinction between people with dry earwax vs wet, but I think there is also variation within those categories.
That changes the equation enormously. I read their text, and they do say they should be discarded after a use. That could be CYA, though. Do you just wash them with soap and water, or wipe them with alcohol or something?
