Ok but that scrote skin is definitely pretty great.
Can’t catch a break
Ok but that scrote skin is definitely pretty great.
It absolutely does not taste the same. Which works for me because I don’t like the taste of cow milk.
No one will be able to top my “worst first date” story after that. ✨ Life-changing.
And yet it gets worse the more rural you get. I know a buddy that lives 10 miles outside of the closest town and they can get up to 3Mbps. I know it gets even worse in the boonies. At least my cell service isn’t terrible up there. It was pretty atrocious ~15 years ago.
The dumpsters are a gold mine at move out too!
This seems very anecdotal. It would be interesting to see some numbers on how different age groups interact with different UI types.
In my experience, most people prefer “card” view type interfaces. Most popular sites I can think of at the top of my head are like this. Instagram shows you a picture. Facebook you default see a post until it is truncated. New Reddit is like this as well. Twitter shows just a small post, and you can view threads that way too.
Even old sites that had list views tended to get more popular when you get a card view, like Reddit.
I’m not sure if it’s generational.
I occasionally have to use Chrome because sometimes the sites I need to use won’t work with Firefox. This includes bill pay for some of my utilities. (At least usually by the next month, the utility company fixes their site again so I can use Firefox…)
I’m scandalized. It’s naked!
They lied to us. The real Y2K was the CRT rapture.
Very small things, but still things I needed to remember to do. Running it every day. Making sure to clean it every week. (Ice or garbage disposal cleaner) If I didn’t clean it, even after running it every day, it would smell. When my partner would clog it, I would have to fix it. (Again, it took little time.) Making sure nothing fell in there before I ran it every time. I would often find my measuring spoons or a fork in there. (It doesn’t really seem to matter to my family how many times I tell them not to leave small things in the sink.)
I recognize this is very little and it’s basically nothing for most people, but sometimes I have a very hard time keeping up with things and the garbage disposal is very out of sight, out of mind. The sink strainer is very visible.
I find they’re pretty ubiquitous where I’m from. I had one in every apartment I’ve lived in. I don’t have one in my house though.
I know a lot of people will just dump a lot of food waste in there. After struggling with it, I started just throwing out all of the waste and using the garbage disposal for the small bits of food that would normally get caught in the sink strainer.
Now that I’m back to living in a place with no garbage disposal, I do miss it a little. The sink strainer is a bit gross to handle. But it’s also pretty nice not having to maintain the garbage disposal so it all evens out.
Disappointed but not surprised. Joining forces with like minded people. Doing the best I can do.
I lived in an apartment complex like this. Management didn’t bother to ever clean the dryer vents, so it would take for. ev. er. to dry. It’s a wonder the laundry building didn’t catch on fire.
It could be a lot of things. This usually happens to me because of feelings I haven’t really processed, just shoved down.
I strongly prefer text as well. Watching a video is harder for me. I’m not sure if it’s because I have multiple processing disorders.
With text, if I don’t understand a sentence or paragraph, I can read it over and over again and try different ways to try to comprehend. You can rewind a video but it’s definitely more work. (I have ADHD so when I’m trying to learn something, it is definitely a downside the more I have to think about things that aren’t the subject at hand.)
If I am not having comprehension issues, reading is far easier than watching because I can just get through it faster.
I do like videos for certain things, like a tutorial on woodworking after I read about it. Seeing it done really helps with some parts I get stuck on.
I chalked it up to my brain just working differently from other people’s. (I am neurodivergent.) I think we’re in the minority.
I will never get over Breyer’s ice cream going cheap.
Have you looked at Häagen-Dazs? I only looked at their plain chocolate flavor, but the ingredients are only Cream, Skim Milk, Cane Sugar, Cocoa Processed With Alkali, and Egg Yolks. That’s the real deal right there!
I like Ben and Jerry’s, but I definitely know that it’s not “real” ice cream. They shine because they have good flavor combinations.
Bruster’s and Graeter’s are ice cream shops that make their ice cream in-house. They also contain stabilizers but I prefer it over what’s in the grocery store. I’m not sure if that is because I’m used to it or what. If you have a location for either of these near you, I would check them out.
Lastly, I would check if you have any local places that make their own ice cream. You might find what you’re looking for there.
I am absolutely crushed that Brussels sprouts give me horrible gut pain. They are so good!
The texture of garden tomatoes are so much better than the texture of the ones you get at the store, too.
I have rarely gone to get fast food in the last few years, a lot of the reason because of the cost. That, and quality has gone down a lot even with price increases.
The times I have gone, were because I was short on time. I miss the days I could overlook the poor quality due to the cost.
…what do they smell like?
