I guess “for life” probably won’t apply here with obsolescence being what it is, I’d settle for longer than a year. Anyone know of good usb-c cables that actually last?

Depends on what you’re going to use them for. For charging only cables I go for “over spec” cables made for 60+W charing, they’re thicker than regular USB-C cables - made to carry the extra USB-PD power.
My stuff charges at max 30W. The benefit to me is that they’re much more durable due to the extra thickness of the inner cables.
