That’s really what I was hoping for. Or at least something akin to what they were. I never got to play the OGs, but not that long ago I saw some videos on the lore of the series and it had a gnarly story line, and when they first announced they were making this, that’s what I was hoping to see.
They could have just did a remaster of their game Marathon, from 1994, like System Shock did to their game.
