I swear, Americans will sooner protest a Disney movie or Oreo Cakesters being discontinued before they end up protesting their country invading ours.

It’s true. My favorite tech podcast will (correctly) trumpet trans rights or BLM when it comes up in the news but haven’t said shit about Canada. They only bring up tariffs now in the context of their Switch 2 preorders getting delayed or their phones maybe getting more expensive.

So cancel that membership when it comes up for renewal, I guess.

Americans will be too busy trying to keep their own country together than to worry about invading Canada. Fact is, the National Guards of the American States are probably more powerful and stronger than the US Army is on American soil. Some Guard units even have advanced fighter jets. The National Guard troops are a substantial component of the strength of the American army. The American army would have to bring all of its own assets back from the rest of the world before they could even contemplate military action on American soil.

And the National Guard units answer to State legislatures, not Washington.

Nah they’ll protest. Whether they’ll actually do something (which protesting is not) we’ll have to see.
