Personally I dig this weird little fella

It’s an old Soviet 16mm film projector lens adapted to a different vintage lens’s helicoid then adapted to Micro 4/3.

It’s a 50mm f/1.2 lens and it takes some weird photos. It’s not perfect (especially if the area is well lit) but it takes some interesting photos with a little practice.

Edit: And being a lens made for 16mm film it takes pictures just like a normal micro 4/3 50mm lens would.

For a vintage lens, I have a Weltblick Auto Super 55mm f/1.7 which I like to use for night photography. The wide aperture helps with low light and it produces some weird, interesting flares. They look like very sharp arcs of light sometimes. The bokeh is a bit swirly too.

I’m still trying to find out if there is radioactive material in it. So far, I’ve found nothing about it and I don’t have access to a Geiger counter yet.

For modern lenses, I really like my Fujinon 35mm F2 R WR. It feels nice to use, the auto focus works well, it looks nice, it’s very mobile, it’s sharp and the image quality is good. It does have some chromatic aberration in extreme situations but that’s okay for me.
