(site) would like to access your camera
Could be cool.
And a privacy nightmare.
You know people would use a webmirror. They just would. And leave it on because its fascinating, a mirror on the computer.
Why even read the privacy policy where it’s clearly states technicians might look at the video feed… I mean, check the Artificial Untelligence Engine for adverse events.
Also.
It is cool, it’s a standard feature when shopping for cosmetics these days
Hey, my meme I reposted got reposted to this instance’s programmer humor. Cool!
I stole it from someone else, so no worries OP. I honestly just like how Lemmy can enable these “reposts”. I think it’s fun that someone else that a dumb meme I thought was funny was actually funny enough to post it again.

I did web design in the 90’s and remember one customer reviewing the site that I’d designed her. She said she liked it, but asked if I could add something like that neat little paper clip she has when she opens up Word, so it can help people navigate her site.
Note: Javascript was in its early days around this time so the idea of a dynamic/interactive site like this was not on the cards.
Makes sense. Nowadays there is literally a clippy npm package for react. Javascript has come a long ways. We have it easy compared to the old timers.
I both do and do not want to check that out.
If you could code an actual mirror into my computer screen, thatd be cool. Mmkay
Sure, customer! To keep costs down, go ahead and take a picture of a mirror yourself and send it to me.

Honestly, I wouldn’t put it past customers to ask something like this
Yeah, its actually something a real customer could say.
I think all of us here have seen hell in one way or another.
