There have never been more illegal drugs on our streets. Why? It can all be traced back to the impact of international crime, including organized commercial crime, drug trafficking, and money laundering. The federal government is largely responsible. The RCMP is tasked with the responsibility of federal law enforcement, but federal policing enforcement has not kept pace. Instead, we see more and more of our federal policing dollars being invested into a fundamentally flawed structure where the RCMP is stretched well beyond its primary mandate.”
