They where so deep into the American telecoms it would be naive to think they where not on ours. I mean they where in the system that was created to backdoor the cellular network in America. I think it’s part of the standard so can’t see why Canada would have been different.
While agree that comms should be a nationally controlled resource, the procurement space for that equipment would be just as vulnerable under government contract as under the big 3.
We need to nationalize a portion of the big 3 telecoms for the security of our communications. They cannot be trusted to keep our data secure.
