If you’re pushed in it’ll be no different to being pushed into one of those kid’s pools. Are all these people being pushed in and drowning less than 3 feet tall so they can’t touch the bottom?
If someone said “watch out, there’s a canal pusher about”, I’d say “yeah, my brand new Levis would totally drown in that dirty, elongated kiddy pool. The canal pusher is a murderer alright, murdering perfectly good clothes.”
I’m not sure ‘hoax’ is the word you want to use. I assume you’re referring to the Manchester Pusher?
The bodies are real, but it sounds like (after a quick search) the authorities blame accidents and such like.
keep in mind, if you’re falling into 3 feet of water, you’re more likely to be injured from hitting the bottom rather than jumping into deep water, and if you’re drunk or something, even if you’re not injured from the fall, you’re still likely to drown. you can drown in a puddle if you pass out with your face down in it.
I don’t know anything about any pushers, but as someone who’s almost 2m and had fallen into a canal - I can tell right now it’s not 3 feet. My 2 feet could only reach the soft muddy bottom at the side.
All canals? Many canals are ship routes, you can’t drive a barge through 3 foot deep canals.
