Nope! Honestly any order is fine, even completely out of order if you don’t mind spoilers and are comfortable with a little confusion here and there.
Equal Rites is a Wizards/Witches crossover and helps set up some of the rules, but Pratchett’s pretty good about explaining anything you’re going to need in the moment he’s using it.
I’m glad you mentioned standalones because Small Gods and Maurice are two of my favorites.
I was gonna read each collection in turn, like wizards, witches, death, city watch, etc., and occasionally a standalone.
