Truly, once you pass a certain threshold of capital accumulation nothing can dethrone you. Not even your brain being turned to mush. The things Thiel says are the ravings of a lunatic. If he weren’t an oligarch they’d put him away. And obviously he’s not the only one. One has to wonder if perhaps it is the power itself that drives a man mad. There ought to be a marginal wealth tax that starts wherever the gains to happiness begin to diminish and build exponentially towards 100% at, say, 1000x the median net worth of a single individual. The way things are isn’t good for us or them.

Money does this to people. Because money is power. And power corrupts absolutely.

Money also happens to reward and promote the worst kind of behaviors, so the richest people tend to already be the most psychopathically aligned.

Personally, I think an absolute cap on income, wealth, assets, and a limit of 1 focused business owned, with huge punishments for going beyond the limits. The elite get away with evading contributing to society, because there is an entire Wealth Defense industry to protect them from consequences. Making it impossible to hide money would be key to eliminating fiscal obesity and political corruption.

Peter Thiel is literally insane. The money has gone to his head, much the same way it happened to Elon Musk.
The research is very clear in this field, becoming so rich that you are always surrounded by yes people makes you delusional very quickly, and over time the delusions accumulate to become outright insanity.

The possibility of becoming a billionaire needs to end. It is harmful both to the individual and to society.

I’m so fucking glad more and more are recognizing how crazy Peter Thiel is.

Elon Musk is outwardly crazy and ruining the fucking world.

Peter Thiel (who btw is Musk’s inspiration and good friend) is batshit insane and avoiding the limelight for decades while manipulating world politics.

I can imagine a future where people like this have caused so much damage they are hunted.

Thiel is already frightened of the public, I’ve seen reporters approach him and he looked like he was wearing a vest and was in a state of complete dread practically running away. But his face just kind of looks like it’s melting anyway, he has a hint of palpatine about him, pure evil.

hey he learned one thing from russia, his sidepiece was defenestrated in florida, in 2024, after the side piece of course being in a relationship with already married thiel was voicing his concerns over Thiels concerted effort of anti-lgbtq+ agenda by partnering with gop and other far right groups .

Peter Thiel is a bad person. I don’t know how else to describe him. There are quiet billionaires who are like this behind closed doors, and then there are those that are vocally just bad people. No billionaire is a good person.

The US should do to the Catholic Church what we did to TikTok. I’m not going to feel safe until all the American diocese are owned by a fascist billionaire looking to milk the congregation’s data for AI training.

They kinda already did that considering that’s basically who the Mormons are. Hopefully I didn’t miss the point of the joke here.
