Eugenics were brought to Europe by Americans so nothing new here.
Eugenics can be traced to Ancient Greece and Rome, and the modern flavor and actual term were coined by Francis Galton of the United Kingdom, a half-cousin of Darwin.
Obviously, these things are much older but the wave which inspired Hitler and his minions originated in the US before spreading their ideas in Europe.
