I disagree eight the other poster. Please use whatever distribution you feel most comfortable with!
With KDE Plasma you might want to wait for the upcoming 6 release, since they simplified a lot of stuff (and also Wayland per default iirc?). Kubuntu will take longer than Feodora to ship though.
I personally used Plasma a lot, and I understand the being overwhelmed. What I did was just working with it, and figuring stuff out along the way. I think KDE Plasma is awesome, especially for customization!
I think you can just replace wget with curl.
Alternatively -O -
I think.
You can’t use the path directly because of permissions. And you shouldn’t run wget with root permissions.
What’s the Linux desktop for the playful developer? 🤔
I also like the security aspects, but Chromium OS limits me too much. I can see Android getting to a point I can use it, given the apps.
I would appreciate if there was a better way to create Android apps though. Something libre, stable and included in major distro repos would be nice. I think Debian has made some advancements in regards to that?
Me too 😭
I don’t want to “kubectl”, I want to " make" 😭
Maybe it’s an attempt at the chromium OS way of life?
There are other issues with Discord relating to privacy, which would even with a libre client (I think there is one? Bettercord or fosscord or something?) be a good reason to avoid it.
But I understand that there are important communities on there.
There are people who hang out on StackOverflow?
What do you mean? Not being open to new opportunities is only harming yourself.
KDE Connect’s remote control?
To be conformant with PEP-8.
I really like the new logo.
Coreboot is great! I see a brighter future on ARM/RISC-V than x86 though.
That’s why we have Wayland. :)
I think mid translates to reliable and boring. Which is desirable for an OS.
I’d expect them to support basic integrity. They already do that for apps, so no reason to not expand it. It’d break compatibility.
Since they don’t (want) to offer a way to circumvent the basic integrity check right now, I don’t see why they would undo the expansion into the webview.
I would assume saying words only gets you so far. One side has money, power and people’s attention, the other the good arguments.
I have the feeling situations like these are common and go a certain way.
Bitcoin is a bad example, since it’s not designed as a private currency. Monero/XMR is actually usable.
