IG was always much bigger than Reddit.
Good to see people moving to Pixelfed though.

Thank you for your feedback!
I would say it’s a different type of growth. A topic that regularly comes up is consolidation of similar communities (the most recent example being [email protected] as the suggested alternative to [email protected] [email protected] , [email protected] , [email protected] etc.)
So it’s a type of growth, but more internal than external.
Having two communities seems better as people busy with keeping their communities active aren’t automatically interested in promoting the Fediverse externally, and vice versa.
this community here is thriving
Which one? [email protected] , [email protected] or [email protected] ?

Same reason there is [email protected] separated from [email protected] , the intent and type of content are different
The new one would replace [email protected]
[email protected] would stay the same. I edited the OP to clarify
The issue is that they have very similar names while being different. I edited the post to make it more clear.
No, we want to keep [email protected] on its current instance with its current objective.
The question is about the other one, which is about promotion of the Fediverse rather than growth of communities already here
Oh, it very much is
20 active communities which are not politics, news, memes or tech
You can report them, they get removed
It should make less depressing content emerge
