You clearly have their reading comprehension if that’s what you got from this.

In a nutshell this is impossible because of how the global supply chain works. Specifically how most of the hardware engineers/factories are in Taiwan, and how the technology to make chips is proprietarily owned by a company in Norway.

Like the whole reason China wants Tiawan in the first place is the same reason they can’t just bomb them into submission… Their population of highly skilled hardware engineers that fundamentally make the global chips supply chain possible is impossible to replace.

Like I’m all for people moving to Canada and becoming Canadian. But lately we’ve been admitting an increasing number of people with a very different mentality; who have burnt all their opportunities in their home country and see us as a backup.

I’ve worked with LOTS of immigrants and hired many as well. I’ll be the first to say most people who move here are great. But the fact remains that a few people actually are lazy and come here with the deliberate intention of mooching off the system. That obviously doesn’t justify racism but I digress.

This is not just coming from me either:

1. This is what multiple people have told me; who themselves are 2nd/3rd gen immigrants and employers, and saying there are more people coming here to sponge off the system than there used to be.

2. I know someone from my hometown who did the opposite. Took advantage of Greece’s cheap rentals for immigrants and moved there with the intention of overstaying her travel visa.

So yea makes sense to me that they would have to be pretty strict about letting people come in for FIFA. Perfect opportunity to sidestep the immigration process.

Honestly the longer the guilty go unpunished the less I give a fuck about who is and isn’t guilty or to what degree.

Like the people adjacent to this and protecting them better figure the fuck out sooner than later, for their sake.
