Last year I bought new Citroen e-berlingo for 25.000€. It would be €32.000 without subsidies but still not 60.000.

I don’t think I’m optimistic at all. Police departments already pay out damages. It’s not some wishful thinking. Police already lie, plant evidence, threaten witnesses and make deals with criminals. And they still do lose civil cases and pay. Of course it only happens in the most extreme cases but it does actually happen. If each such case meant they lose money they would try not to have such cases. How? By getting rid of the most aggressive officers. It would not fix all the issues but it would help.
If think it should be up to the team. If they think it’s useful to meet at the office they go be it weekly, monthly or quarterly. My commute is like 15 minutes so I don’t mind going to the office at all but the experiences is way worse now that it’s hybrid.
GTFO, wrapped is the best. I get to learn I’m like top 0.5% listeners of my favourite bands. I’m the biggest fan! I win!
What Kardashians have to do with it?
IMHO hybrid is the worse. Before Covid, when we worked in the office, I had my own desk, my parking space and all the meetings were held in meeting rooms. Now I have to be in the office 3 days a week and we have hot desk system, limited parking spaces and everyone is on a video call all the time. The office is now super loud and just not a nice place to work. There’s not enough desks for everyone because the company can hire more people without expanding office, Parking spaces are reserved using some appa and disappear in 10 seconds. Hybrid just add some much hassle without any real benefits. Just bring everyone to the office or let everyone work from home.
I still only saw this popup once, some time ago. Go uBlock!
How do you know? Maybe he’s tied up mechanical orange style?
It’s shit. Totally agree, the most irritating thing on Linux.
Yes, but this will crush a modern SUV. US car manufacturing is entering arms race stage. Soon the only save way to travel will be in a tank.
Dude, this is not going to happen. They will be exposes to lead for 100 more years, not 10. This is just empty talk. Money for this will be stolen by private companies or corrupt officials. To do projects like this you need a strong central government which US doesn’t have. What was the last big investment in infrastructure they did? Energy lines are shit, railway’s nonexistent, public education sux, there’s no public healthcare and prisons are torture centres. They only ever do things if some corporation can make money off of it. My guess is companies will take money for this and then do nothing, same like happened with fast Internet.
Yes, that’s exactly what I would do. My name is fairly easy to espanify
Asian immigrants do it all the time here.
I can’t come up with another example in polish but my surname could be translated to Spanish equivalent, same as first name. It’s like if you’re George White and change it to Gregorio Blanco.
Good points, thanks.
Oh, they will never get used to saying those names because they are just not able to make polish sounds. In polish there’s a lot of weird sounds like ‘szcz’ (shsh) or thinks like ‘prz’, ‘zsz’, ‘dżdż’ that foreigners just can’t reproduce. My name is like that. And even if they learn to kind of almost say it they are never able to write it. People at work always make mistakes when writing my name.
Yes, I could kind of do it for first name but I would still have to change my last name. When for example I call customer support and they ask me how to refer to me I just tell them something like ‘Greg’, something they can pronounce. But more often the need my actual name.
How was the transition? Did you correct everyone when they used the old name or do you just let old friends keep using it? I would just let my polish friends/family use my polish name obviously.
Just the spelling? No, polish is to weird. As in my example, you can’t spell Grzegorz in Spanish, you can only translate it to Gregorio or something.
My EV has 280km range and it’s a bit short. I would prefer to have 450km.
Reasons:
charging above 80% is slow and bad for the baterry, you also don’t go to 0% before charging. so on most days I don’t actually have 280km range, more like 200km
I drive more during the weekend, usually just around 200-300km. I can charge for free at work but with 280 range I can’t charge for the whole weekend which would be nice and would reduce my costs to nearly 0
on longer trips 280km means a stop for charging about every 2h. Make it 3h and it would be perfect
280km is enough for daily driving but in my case, 50% bigger battery would a big improvement overall.
