I’d rather have neither. Nuclear’s time has passed.

I think a lot of this goes back to the Clinton and Blair “third way” nonsense. They tried to thread the needle of convincing working people that they were on their side while also reassuring capital that their wealth hoarding would be allowed to continue. You can’t serve two masters but that doesn’t stop them trying and Starmer is currently doing very badly in part because of their prevaricating, he’s just not trustworthy.
Meanwhile electorates get more polarized as more and more people realize they’ve been hoodwinked and jump to very different conclusions - could it be that the wealthy are not willing to pay their fair share or could it all be the fault of some immigrants?

When it comes to selling off public assets like power, water, phones and public transport, Labour have nothing on the Thatcher era Tories.

David Attenborough, and I hope he’s around for as long as he wants to be.

I’d ask what specific, measurable benefits this policy provides to the pupils and staff.
My kid went to a school with no uniform, just rules about dressing appropriately. Never once did I see any reason why a uniform would be needed.

I started adding star ratings to tracks in my library so I can auto populate a playlist only with songs getting 3 1/2 stars or more and download them to my phone.
The album that got the highest number of tracks on this playlist was Alligator by The National.

My order went through easily enough.

ASML makes the machines and they’re restricted from exporting to China. Does China have the capability to make comparable ones itself?

Unless I’m reading this chart wrong, yeah:

They’ve posted several back to back profitable quarters if I’m not mistaken.

They don’t strike me as being particularly bothered by things like the truth.
“According to the OT III account, Xenu was an extraterrestrial ruler of a galactic confederacy who, tens of millions of years ago, transported billions of beings to Earth (then called Teegeeack), placed them around volcanoes, and killed them with hydrogen bombs. The disembodied spirits of the victims, called thetans, are said to have become attached to surviving bodies as “body thetans”, contributing to spiritual and psychological difficulties in the present day. Scientology teaches that these entities can be identified and released through specialized procedures at the upper Operating Thetan levels.”

I’m hoping sodium ion cars become available soon. I’ll happily trade some range in ideal conditions for being more resistant to very cold temps.

Lacking any actual ammunition they will just go back to inventing stuff anyway so I’m not sure it really makes a difference.
I guess you’re lucky enough to not have a job that relies on you being available should shit hit the fan.
My Apple Watch is way better than a traditional watch. One reason I like it is because it’s not an unneccessary distraction. Before I had one I’d get pings from my phone and have to dig it out to see what the text/email/etc was, now I just glance at my watch briefly and go back to what I was doing unless it’s an important message I really need to act on straight away.

People experience music differently. If I’m going to listen to music, I have to sit there and actively listen to it. If music is playing when I’m trying to work on something, I have to turn it off, it’s too distracting.

First, YSK that doctors’ offices overbook patients.
From first hand experience, I can tell you that this isn’t the case everywhere.

Was it this slop company that recently said it wasn’t going to do any more “side quests”?
Good. Not a single part of this from the players, to the managers, to the owners, to the broadcast rights holders need money more than a regular working person does.
