I’m not sure about Vita, but there is a decent 3DS emulator (Citra). I haven’t tested MGS3 on it

Thanks, I got it working! Well all except the ragdoll mod because that requires you to have all the DLC :(
I’ll give those two a go! Looking into it, I think I’d need the following mods to get these to work, which isn’t too bad:
One thing I’m not sure about… I installed MO2 on my Deck using this guide which also installs NVSE. But how do I know what version of NVSE it installed? A few mods mention they need a particular version of NVSE.
Some of those look nice! I notice that a lot have pre-requisite mods, and those require their own pre-requisites 😱 I’ll see if I can find some easy to install ones
I’ve started a new playthrough of Fallout New Vegas. Never got round to finishing it last time, so hopefully will do now! So far I’ve added some stability mods and a new radio station. Anyone got any other mod recommendations?
If you like puzzles and open world games, have you tried The Witness? There are a lot of puzzles to complete so it should take you a while!
Not currently on sale on Steam, but it does drop in price regularly. Depending how you feel about key reselling sites, you might be able to get it cheaper.
The Vita version is flawless, I guess because it’s a native port rather than emulation. Emulation of certain PS2 games can be tricky due to the weird CPU architecture
From my testing a few months back, there was significant slow down in the cutscenes. Actual gameplay was fine. I have no idea why. I know that SteamOS 3.5 has a fix for a kernel issue that caused issues with SMT, so perhaps things are better now. Once 3.5 reaches stable I’ll test the games out again.
Weirdly enough, I’ve heard the opposite - that the first game is way better than the second 🤔
Unfortunately emulation isn’t all that great for these games on Deck. The PS2 versions are laggy. PS3 actually works a lot better than expected, although one of the final scenes in MGS3 has some slowdown. If this version can be fixed, it may be the best option for the deck. I’m definitely not paying the price they’re charging though.
That’s clever! For something where you need a keyboard constantly that seems like a good solution. (Although for a game like that I’d have thought an actual keyboard would be kinda the point lol)
Thank you! I’ll see if I can get it running at some point in the near future :)
Ah thanks - are you aware of any essential bug/stability fixes I should go for in particular?
The different mod loaders really confuse me. Do Vortex and MO2 offer pretty much the same thing? Will it show on Steam that I’m playing Skyrim/New Vegas etc. and log my hours ok (rather than saying I’m playing the mod loader)?
Follow up question: What mods should I get for Fallout NV if I were to try this out? (I’ve never actually finished that game)
The game looks ok, but you’re just kinda spamming at this point? 🤷♂️ This is just an advert, not really a discussion.
The Steam controller seems great. I’d love Steam to bring out a V2, with all the buttons and trackpads of the Deck minus the screen. That would be perfect for playing whilst outputting on a TV.
And yeah, I can’t believe it’s free! I love dungeon crawl style games and this is just perfect.
What do you mean by active listening exactly?
I ended up getting a Safari fountain pen and wow! It’s so smooth. Way better than any I’ve used in the past. I’ve been writing stuff for the hell of it just to try it out. I’m so used to pressing down with some force whilst using a ballpoint (especially the first time you use it each day) so this makes a nice change.
Thinking back to when we were made to use them at school, we were told that the nib would wear down to fit our writing style… which I think was nonsense. Pretty sure I used to use more pressure than was necessary back then, to try and get the pen to ‘mould’ faster. If I’d been taught to use them correctly maybe I’d have enjoyed it more back then.
Opus Magnum is really great if you haven’t played it before :)
Wait I’m confused… You’re asking for a fan-made mod to be added to the Switch version of Stardew? 🤔
