Libertarianism as a philosophy may not be. Libertarian as a modern political entity surely is.
Im not a fan of either, but you have to realize at this point the name has been hijacked by the far right chuds of the world.
How mildly opinionated of you.
Windows is designed for the average user and does very well in that regard. It prevents people with very little computer knowledge from totally messing things up.
I wasnt young when it came out. Joke’s on you.
Yup. Put them in a box and store them in a relatively cool, dry place. They should be good to go for next year.
My first car was an early 90s Ranger. These were the days when you could actually buy a small pickup, not whatever the hell the Ranger is now.
Now, look, it was still horrible for the enviroment like all cars. It wasnt great on gas, but compared to larger trucks in that era, it sipped fuel by comparison. But friends asked why I didnt just go for a ‘real truck’.
Simple. It was big enough for anything I needed to haul. I didnt need a huge truck. It was easy to drive and I could park it anywhere, even in the city when I visited.
Now they dont even make small trucks anymore, at least not in North America. Everything is huge even though only, like, 1% of truck owners actually need something that big. And they keep getting bigger year by year. Its insane.
Ah, I must have been thinking renewables was the majority. I used to live there but its been a while!
Maine is primarily hydro so half by wind is an odd goal for that state. Boosting wind production is good and theres lots of it there, but its not like theyre burning mostly coal or anything.
Same in Canada. Every year we hear of at least one province debating privatizing healthcare as though thats gonna fix our problems and not just make it exponentially worse.
Just a select few tattoos with certain…uh…symbols.
Im glad you pointed out the algorithm thing. Seems like people get fed up with social media platforms like X(?) and Reddit and then come to alternatives demanding the same features that, at least in part, led to them being fed up in the first place.
I actually disagree with OPs assertion that these federated platforms are ‘almost as good’. Theyre better. More features doesnt mean a better platform and in my opinion often makes them worse.
Nothing spices up the climate crisis like a little bit of possible world war and nuclear threats.
Spicy planet we have here lately.
All good to know! We bought the place two years ago so its all new to me. Theyre planted directly into the ground so not sure what the best approach will be regarding fertilizing.
It is rosa rugosa I believe. These guys are all over the property but not in beds. Theyre planted directly into the ground. My first suspicion was soil quality. Our soil here holds onto water in a bad way and is fairly nutrient poor. Mostly clay. pH is probably wacky too. Its why I have to do raised beds for our gardens.
On top of that, last summer was very dry. This summer it rained for a solid month and we have more in the forecast.
I might just have to accept I wont get rosehips out of them. Ill just enjoy the flowers.
Its kale. I think I’ll grow some chard next year though!
Definitely not too late. You can even just tie the vines onto a stake with some twine. Lots of ways people do it.
Damn, Im jealous! My cucumber plant has had a hard summer. Way too much rain my way too.
Many people stake their cucumber plants so they grow upwards instead of outwards. This helps prevent them from taking up as much space and keeps the cucumbers from rotting on the ground.
Adding more bike lanes, implementing more bus lanes, and starting to electrify the fleet.
People who just want to listen to old school FM radio.
