There’s a part of a highway near Denver where it’ll tell you to take a “slight right to stay on highway”, and there is literally no possible turn or off ramp there.

School isn’t just learning the stuff in the classes. It’s the shared experience too. It’s the teachers holding you accountable for learning.
“Going to school” is a very different thing than just trying to learn on your own. Self motivation and time are a huge barrier for a lot of people. I think the OP was imagining being able to go to school every day and just take classes for free with other people also interested.
Almost all the airlines are doing that these days.
Until we can make crossing those lines painful for those companies, they’ll keep doing it. Unfortunately, I think convenience is always going to beat morality if you leave it to “voting with your dollar”, we need actual regulations from our governments to combat this shit.
It’s honestly a pretty fun game! It is Overwatch+Dota and the way they’ve done landing/farming with last hits and denies in a shooter is really interesting.
Team fights are fairly chaotic and I can’t tell what’s going on, and honestly there might be too much complexity, but the moment to moment gameplay is really solid. Movement and shooting feel great, combat is chunky and satisfying, and comebacks are semi common.
IDK if I have the desire to get into another MOBA like this, but this is unique enough to enjoy playing with friends for awhile.
I’m convinced that big corporations contract it out to the cheapest “production” company that they can find, and they only offer the training so that they can say that they did to shield themselves from potential liability.
But if we raised the bottom up enough, it wouldn’t really matter if they were on the bottom. Many people would be happy if they had a stable place to live, food, healthcare, and freedom, and many don’t really need or even want “more” all the time. The problem is the vast differences in wealth and ownership.
Edge started itself on boot after a recent Windows update. It even had a little pop-up about how “helpful” it was to have it start right when my computer turns on so I can “get to browsing” faster. It’s never been set as my default. Uhg.
The problem is that an advisory group trying to push legislation is much more likely to cherry pick and misrepresent their citations.
Way less people want this than this comment implies.. 73% of Americans support abortion early, and it gets a little foggier the further you go.
Republicans just have rigged things so that it requires much more effort to defeat their bullshit.
Thanks! I’d never heard of it and my comment asking about it was a bit judgey, but I appreciate the info.
What does two spirit mean?
Yeah it’s wild. The only thing he’s good at is appearing reasonable and liberal. He’s let the city down repeatedly.
Do you think that activities that are dominated by a certain gender are that way “naturally”, or would you maybe agree that societal factors and sexism play a role too? The idea of “just leave things alone and let people do what they want” often ignores the subtle way that men and women are encouraged towards or discouraged away from those activities.
Many of the free COVID tests are all expired now. They issued an extension but finding an at-home test has been really difficult. I went to 3 different pharmacies/grocery stores before I was able to find a test.
Just bringing it up at all? I get that some people take astrology too far, and some use it to excuse toxic behavior and avoid fixing bad personality traits. However, some people just think it’s a fun way to reflect on themselves. It’s very possible to have a casual interest in astrology that doesn’t mean that you really believe in all the nonsense behind it.
It’s like palm reading or tarot cards… It’s just a fun whimsical activity.
If the mere mention of astrology is gonna be a deal breaker, you might want to consider lightening up a bit.
I saw one for the first time on the road today. The thing made me bust out laughing. It looks absurd.
