I was thinking along the lines of not restricting myself from using my own work in the future, but I hadn’t thought about third parties being able to use it too. I’m not concerned about other people using the code behind the website, for example. I’m still learning, so it’s probably more spaghetti than anything decent, but @[email protected] pointed out in their reply, I wouldn’t be able to stop anyone from using graphics etc.

It was an air fryer for me.
I’m disabled, so I’m usually home alone, or cooking one meal for me and my kid. The oven takes about 10 minutes to preheat, and most things take 20 - 30 minutes to cook after that. The air fryer takes about half the time and doesn’t need me to turn things.
On top of that, I get memory issues, probably related to ADHD, and sometimes forget that I’ve got something cooking. The air fryer has a timer and switches itself off. I literally can’t burn the food and risk a fire. At worst it goes cold again 🤷🏻♂️

A friend of mine crashed her motorbike a few years ago and her face bounced off the road. Her chin bar flexed inwards so much that it broke her nose and chipped a front tooth.
She was furious that the helmet didn’t protect her properly, until her husband who was riding behind her pointed out that she essentially landed face first at over 60mph, and that without the helmet, her face would have taken the full force of the landing.
They’re handy for conversational type questions where remembering previous questions is important, but that’s about it. That’s not usually important though, and can easily be accessed through a website instead.
It’s an Epson Stylus, 235w I think. I’m not home to check at the moment. It’s not amazing, but it scans at up to either 1200 or 2400 dpi, and I usually use 600 dpi, as that’s more than enough for the typically low quality photos I’ve got.
I’m sticking with it on Windows for now too, as the software can do some corrections with one click, like certain colour corrections. I’ve tried a few Linux packages, and while they’re good, they’re all missing something compared to the Epson Windows software.
The metal part looks like a piece of scaffolding pipe, and the yellow part looks like a sleeve to put it over another piece of pipe. With the rounded end, it could be a safety piece for the end of some scaffolding or a fence, so that there’s less chance of injury if someone walks into it.
I use Onedrive for storing files offsite, and a Synology NAS for onsite. I’ve got my PC as the main source of my files, and use Syncthing to sync to my laptop and NAS, and Onedrive syncing the PC and NAS to the cloud.
I know Onedrive isn’t always popular here, but it does everything I need, and is cheap. It also lets me access my files from my phone
This is why I’m scanning in all my old physical photos. It’s great to go through the originals, but if anything was to happen, they’d be gone forever.
I need something like a pressure only on the left side of my sternum on just two ribs.
Could you fold over some gauze and bandage it in place as a temporary fix? The bandage could be wrapped around your body to spread the pressure on the opposite side.
It wouldn’t be a permanent fix, but could help you to fine tune where you need the pressure without having to design anything, and would hopefully provide some relief while you work on something better.

Mine is a Stone branded Clevo, a Stonebook Pro p11b, but as you say, there are others out there. I bought mine refurbished for about £150 and upgraded the SSD and RAM.

The photo was posted to Reddit at least a year ago, and was apparently from an English pub that wanted to sell ‘real’ pub snacks again. The roll cost something like £1.50, where most snacks like this go for around £5 or more.
There was a big discussion on the landlord’s chopping skills, but he claimed that it was really popular 👍
On a side note, I’d really enjoy that roll, as long as it’s got a bit of butter so it’s not too dry 🙂
I’ve got a Clevo laptop that covers most of your list. Mine’s a bit older, a 7th gen i5, but was very cheap, and easy to upgrade. If the newer models are built the same way, it’s what I’m going to go for when I eventually upgrade 👍

I didn’t know about that. I thought they might have to credit me, but didn’t know that it would need to be on the work itself. I definitely don’t want that. I hadn’t thought about third parties either. I doubt that anyone would try to rip us off, but I don’t want to leave that door open either, just in case.
I’m not overly concerned with future clients, as I’m medically retired and just doing this as a learning exercise. There’s a tiny chance that I might get future work from this, but I’m more concerned with not cutting myself off from using the website / app template if I was to fall out with the festival at some point. As you say though, I don’t want to leave either me or the festival open to having the content stolen either.
I’ve just realised that I need to double check how to handle third party images too. We have some local businesses who support the festival, so we use their logos as links on the site. If I include them in the repository, I don’t want to accidentally give them away.
