Let’s be real here, the ethical concerns over LLM use far outweigh any copyright concerns and are the real reason people should refrain from using them in any way, shape, or form.

Liberals are nothing more then centrists and can suck eggs for all I care but jeez, could you offer comments that were any more useless and rage-baity then this?
I’d recommend Bottles over Lutris due to the latter’s unfortunate use of LLMs/AI.

I have no issue with games having their own forums, so long as they aren’t on Discord. Preferably a PieFed community at minimum. Just… Something public and searchable.

Fuck it, there’s enough PS1 games to keep me happy, and retro acheivments. I’m set.

Yeah, I have a few games like that. That means they’re DRM free. The issue with Steam is not that it forces all games on it to have DRM, but that is doesn’t make games that DON’T have DRM easy to identify.

At least the terrible art of before was actual art.

Nothing with Denuvo will ever get my money.

Yes, if we want to get technical, we don’t legally own those games, obviously. However, so long as they are DRM free, we can always install them on whatever hardware we choose, as long as its supported. Thats why people say DRM takes away a player’s ability to “own” their games.

Mandatory fuck AI comment

Oh fuck yes that sounds awesome, thank you!!

Okay, I see. Thanks for the heads up. Are there any specific scalers I should consider for minimizing latency that you’re aware of?

Doesn’t Matrix also have ties to AI/cryptobro bullshit too?

Right, thank you I’ll try to keep this in mind. What do you mean by the TV supporting it though? Like I said, CRTs have no pixels to the best of my understanding, so how would it be aware of the resolution in order to reject it? I can understand it causing problems, but how exactly can a CRT outright reject a signal like that?

I know, though it is a bit worrying that it was there in the first place

Thankfully, Mint allows me to output in 4:3 aspect ratio. Now, if the actual resolution will still be an issue, then yeah, I suppose I’ll need that. But if I send a converter a ~720p 4:3 signal and it outputs it to composite, what does it matter to the CRT that doesn’t have pixels anyway?

Sadly it does not take VGA but I do have an old laptop with native VGA out so I could convert that to composite easier. VGA is already an analog format, right?
Was that a comeback? I think we’re agreeing with each other here. It does matter if stuff is stolen, which all LLM generated stuff is. I was referring more to the environmental impacts and all, because I’m sick of ppl talking about copyright as if that’s what makes LLMs suck. Even if it was legal under copyright law, it’d still be awful on all fronts.
