I used to work in IT, got fed up with that and switched to trades (joiner, tiler, and such), started doing property renovations, then covid & lockdown stopped that.
Then my parents got ill and I pretty much have to take care of them.

Apparently it’s a known issue, my report wouldn’t add naything new.
Simply put, I failed to fully research the phone/OS issues prior to buying it & installing Graphene so I found out after the money was spent.
I’m honestly okay with it - being free of Google on my phone which is still functional for all my needs is more important right now than the WiFi not working.

my upstairs neighbour did this.
well, their landlord did - too cheap to even use a plumber, “fixed” the bath himself and didn’t connect the waste at all. the water in the bath went straight through my ceiling.
not hilarious when the tenants had a bath.

doing this with a used pixel 8 pro bought off ebay.
I bought a used Pixel 8 Pro and put GrapheneOS on it.
all good except some Pixel 8s have WiFi issues with both Graphene & LineageOS (I’ve tried both on this device) - mine does.
If I roll back to Official Google Android, WiFi appears to work.
As of right now, I care more about not having Google fuck about with my phone than I do about not having WiFi.

10TB. 80% full. I have 2TB that I can add if I need. At this point I’ve maintained 80% for about 1 year.
I like email.
I pay for my own domain. I pay a privacy focused European provider for email and they let me use my own domain. I use an European DNS provider.
So I have email addresses with my own domain and the setup is pretty straightforward and I can use webmail or a desktop|mobile client.
KDE (on CachyOS)

I have a 16GB ram HP t630 running vaultwarden (bought for £50) and some other stuff and a HP ProDesk 400 G5 16GB ram (bought for £100) running jellyfin & immich. They’re great. I also have a Wyse 3040 that I intend to run as pihole, just haven’t got round to it yet.

According to republicans, this is what god wants.

Me too. Yesterday bought a used 8 Pro, and it’ll be delivered tomorrow.
GrapheneOS going on it immediately.

Remotely? Like, a drving game?

Flower too, maybe moreso. Both great games.

Dorfromantik is excellent.

I thought the same, just wanted some reassurance :))
I run CachyOS on my PC and Debian (12/13) on my servers. Everything you say is dead on.
Perfect set up for me.
