RIP Apollo, one of the best pieces of software i’ve ever used that was made by one guy. So many features, dev listened to users, always quick to fix bugs, incredible pricing.

I have an Xperia 1 iii running LineageOS 20 w/microG, and it took days of careful setup to get everything working and have it pass SafetyNet. I’m worried that any update might break a feature that I consider essential and rely on. I love the phone but I fear it’ll break if I even so much as sneeze while holding it.

Tactile buttons are the main reason I got one too! It’s getting hard to find new Digital Audio Players that still have physical buttons (and that doesn’t run Android). I ended up getting a Sony NW-A55 a few years ago and i love it.

You getting downvoted for refusing to vote for Biden for a very valid reason is proof of how broken our two-party system is. This is why every state needs to pass ranked-choice voting. Maine did it and proved it could be done, and now they get to vote for who they actually /want/ without having their vote “spoiled”.

Everyone in the US should be working to get ranked-choice voting in their state.

I use TMPGEnc Authoring Works 7, as it’s the only software I found that will actually let me make my own customized Blu-ray menus.

Pros: It works. Let’s you actually make your own menus. It has good file format support. It outputs good results. Company offers trial version. Cons: Price. Periodic online software validation checks. Some settings and menu-building options are difficult to find, understand, and get working properly.

You have options if you have a Google-branded phone. If you have something like a 2021 Sony Xperia, your options /might/ include LineageOS, else you’re stuck with buggy unofficial builds. Ask me how I know.

You only get options in Android land if the phone is/was popular.
