That seems dangerous when riding a bike through a busy city. I intentionally wear these regular earbuds that don’t seal your ear airtight. I don’t like the feeling of having one of my senses completely cut off, especially when participating in traffic. That seems like a big security risk.
As someone who lives in a city and is constantly exposed to car noise: No.
Like, people have no idea how loud cars are. When I turn the volume of my ear buds to 100%, it hurts my ears. It’s so loud it’s uncomfortable. But when I’m riding my bike along the street to the city center, I can barely hear my podcasts, even at 100%

Sorry, my European brain cannot fathom how such a pickup truck bed could be useful in daily life.
But those are usually 5-seaters while this looks like a two seater. And it doesn’t have a trunk, just this weird truck bed that does nothing to protect your stuff against the weather. I like the design philosophy of this truck, but I’d argue that you get much more value out of a compact car.

I’m happy with drinking my local brand of cola, using European email and cloud storage providers and getting my share of news and commentary from Fediverse sources. Works out great for me.
I think power-tripping moderators is exactly what the web needs. I loved the age of bulletin boards. Maybe it’s nostalgia, but I remember the quality of discourse being significantly higher on those moderated platforms. And more importantly, the number of low-quality posts, trolls etc was way lower, because someone would correctly identify bullshit and just delete it.
They had their chance to overthrow the republic in Q1 and they threw it because the moderate Republicans got scared and some of those checks and balances kicked in (as per recent NYT reporting). Now they’re just fumbling. Should have dealt the death blow to American democracy when they had the chance.
It’s not my fucking job to make sure your workers are paid appropriately. I came here for a fucking steak and some freedom fries. I paid for my fucking food and I just want to eat it in peace. Stop turning your problems into my problems.
Trumps word isn’t worth shit. He’s going to fuck you over the moment he gets the chance and it’s beneficial to him. You cannot make a deal with someone like that who doesn’t understand the value of trust. Irans leadership probably knows this too.
As much as I fear the consequences this will have for the economies of the world, especially poor countries who will get hit the hardest, I enjoy watching Trump and his friends get humiliated. They deserve it.

Car drivers fighting against alternatives like public transport and cycling infrastructure and ending up with their streets jammed and their parking spaces taken is my favorite form of irony.
Building safe alternatives to driving is the only way to reduce traffic that has ever really worked in cities.
