Hegemony of whom? Lame ass comment
Thank you for clarifying
Don’t trust me, but I think France is one of the countries that still don’t view rape of your spouse as rape
Edit: this is not true anymore
About damn time
Hahaha noooo Jesus Christ
If it counts as a video game, Lich King 25M, not even HC.
I was in a casual guild and not the best player either. Never downed him :(
I went by scaled on my previous instance because I enjoy seeing small communities posts as well and they easily drown otherwise.
However piefed doesn’t have that sorting :(
What
Oh sorry, didn’t look at your instance. I realize now that you just wanted to shit on the liberal world order, not make a point
adhere to the liberal world order
And YOU having “human rights” is not really dependent on the “liberal world order”. Most of your rights were won by blood and tears during the late 1800s and early 1900s, through popular movements mostly ideologically aligned first with anarchism then with communism.
You are correct in that the liberal world order is an effect of previous hardwon freedoms. What is your point? The LIO makes sure that if my government tries to take these freedoms from me it invokes international support. So a malicious government will not only have to deal with domestic pushback, but international as well.
Also, the vast majority of the world not having human rights and being colonized and exploited IS your “liberal world order”.
…which is why these countries are under sanctions for example. Take Venezuela as a case. But yes, the postcolonial debate is ongoing.
The main issue is that his heil combined with his previously expressed opinions and actions removes all doubt
I don’t care. The question was if I was okay with China as the super power and my answer is that it don’t matter as long as it adheres to the liberal world order.
Get off your high horse.
…Yes, individuals are different from each other and the aggregated sum shows a tendency for women being better at governance than men.
This obviously doesn’t mean that there are no men that are good at governance or women who are worse as you point out.
Degrees in hell maybe.
Go wild on google.scholar.com and you will find plenty to read. :) Useful terms might be “women (duh)”, “gender”, “impact”, “governance”, “politics”, “environment”, “peace” etc Also private companies reports more long-term benefits with a majority of women board members so you might want to look for that as well
Balancing
A fair point to that is women’s voting and leadership tend to lead to more peaceful and fruitful governance
Absolutely, soft power is definitely relevant.
I don’t care which country is the global super power as long as it adhere to the liberal world order and all that comes with it.
I want to leave in peace, enjoy my human rights and not have to worry about other countries using arms to push their will.
But also: a lot of those points have nothing to do with who the global super power is
Not for long if the han Chinese policy is kept going 😄
