White American is a great melting cheese for all kinds of things.
Windows Subsystem for Linux gives me most of what I need day to day for Linux and gaming is still just easier on Windows.
I think in a few years that may finally change, but not yet.

Have been very happy with Bitwarden after ditching Lastpass.
We would feed the lyrics to explicit rap songs into SimpleText on the Apple machine’s and fire up text to speach and then turn off the monitor so it took a while for whatever teacher or authority figure was around to find it.
I recall “Fred” had the best rhythm of all the available voices.

There was a time in the 90s when popups were definitely terrible. But at some point tools and I don’t know what else made it much better. And now we are full circle back to pop up madness.
The whole X series kept going even when the space sim genre went mostly dormant for like a decade. I’ve loved every one I’ve played. You do have to get through some serious jank sometimes and the learning curve can be steep, but it is totally worth it.

Linux gaming has come a long way and I game on my Linux box, but with WSL now I can most of my Linux specific work on my Windows machine and also game which gives me the best of both worlds.

This used to be a huge issue for me, but the last couple of Samsung phones I bought they kept them pretty well supported for years.
I switched to iPhone because I was the last in the family thread and was ruining it for everyone’s bubbles, and the iPhone mini is just a great size, the android phones I liked just kept getting a bit bigger and bigger to the point that it bothered me.
I mostly enjoyed the space aspect of STO, but the ground part is just really bad.

I think that will grow up over time. May never get to the level of Reddit but hopefully even if it is just a few people talking and keeping things going will give time for others to discover. Baby steps.

The original System Shock is definitely one of my all time favorites too. An absolute game changer playing that late night with headphones on.
