95·13 days agoMarketing, particularly Ads people. They exist only to hype shitty products, primarily. Sure they might get eyeballs on unknown brands, but I feel like that’s not what they are paid big bucks for.

Hope is not meant to be useful. Hope is just that, hope. AI cannot give hope to anyone at all.
Shitty Pandora’s box. There is no hope in that box, only shit.
Replacing that parking space with trees and it would the perfect outdoor cafe.
But, everybody can buy cars.
Yeah, but can everybody afford maintain it? Can environment sustain it? What about the load each car adds to a cities infrastructure?
Telling lame jokes and watching others’ reaction.
I use it as a way to voice my thoughts and emotions that I cannot express otherwise. I primarily write poems for that.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the most toxic mentality that people have nowadays?
10·1 month agoOne thing I noticed in India, and perhaps elsewhere too that happiness is on the other side of whatever goal one has, usually something that is sold as hustle or hardwork. I am not talking about people who don’t earn enough to afford even basics and are told that they don’t earn enough because they don’t work hard enough. These people are simply playing a rigged game.
I am talking about usually well-off people who earn enough, but not enough to be happy. These people don’t realize that in their case happiness is just due to an internal lack and not due to external factors. These people try to buy and consume in order to fill a void that cannot be filled through external stuff or status.
That’s pretty interesting, not exactly harrowing.
I don’t know if the priorities of our governments were always fucked, or are fucked now. We keep constructing infrastructure as if all construction is good, while polluting our land, water and air. Yet, despite the consequences of our actions are staring us in our faces, our governments refuse to change, as if consequences are not their responsibility anymore.
I see people living like zombies for a monthly paycheck and I ask what is worth this type of terrible life. Not to mention that they still barely afford, either financially or due to time, healthy habits, etc.

72·1 month agoWell, it sounds like they totally deserved the failure. Asking a text prediction machine to “do” something is going to end up like this. In pursuit of efficiency, we have let morons and moronic products do things, they were not meant to do.
