Why would they let people in who don’t want to share their data? They can’t make money out of you. So they try to force an OS on you that has spying enabled by default. And if you don’t comply, then fuck you nerd.

Linux Gaming@lemmy.world•Steam Machine costs more than I hoped but the price isn’t crazyEnglish
0·2 days agoTLDR;
The entry-level Steam Machine with 512GB of storage costs $1,049, while a bundle that includes the Steam Controller runs $1,128. Those wanting more storage can step up to a 2TB model for $1,349 or spend $1,428 for the 2TB bundle.
I guess they meant $1,349 for the 1TB model.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is there anywhere with a list of phone models and compatible OS?
0·2 days agoYesterday. However Linux is still very much niche for mobile devices. At the moment most people just don’t have a choice. They want to use banking and all the stuff. The upcoming changes for apps installed outside of the Google Play Store are outraging but will.make it even harder for alternatives.

Steam Hardware@sopuli.xyz•Valve is so behind on Steam Controller orders that some won’t ship until 2027
6·5 days agoI think there was software released from one of the Valve developers a week after the controller released, that makes it possible to use the controller outside of the Steam environment.

Yeah, people just shat in the river in former times. I think the idea of using toilet paper is pretty modern.
