You can go into the settings and manually disable (nearly?) all the features that are removed in the paid version without paying anything. That’s what I did. They aren’t paywalling the ability disable the features.

It’s not just the additional amount of engagement, but I’m using hyper-local and the more specialized book based reddits that don’t seem to exist on the Fediverse. I don’t understand why they’re saying the government will provide a high Universal Basic Income when they refuse to pay a fair share of taxes from their wealth or businesses and the the party of fiscal responsibility (/s) is exploding the debt as they do every time they’re in power. Are they thinking a UBI and a Value Added Tax? The numbers will not add up.
