Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why aren't Chinese people afraid of US companies collecting their data?
42·3 months agoBecause they’re probably dealing with their version of surveillance from CCP. It would be interesting to hear conversations from privacy experts and advocates over there, and share experiences of what we’re all dealing with.
Try this! Fusion360 for Linux - project by Cryinkfly. I’ve seen it work for some people but I havent gotten it to work well for me.

Yeah its difficult in that sense, also with Android’s notification service (Google Firebase Cloud Messaging). Theyre doing their best as of now. Unless they flashed a degoogled ROM.
Check out Shelter on Fdroid, it creates a 2nd profile for compartmentalizing apps.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•How do you track the progress of show you watch?
1·4 months agoi know it lacks shows, and is owned by a holding company, but i use Letterboxd. My 🚬 cinephile friends are there, so its cool to see what we log. I read that the platform is trying to cover shows as well as movies, but it is still noticeably lacking shows.
fairphone and framework off the top of my head

I do exactly the same. Basically GMaps WV for checking traffic and places not registered on OSM. Plus I love contributing with adding places to CoMaps through OSM.
