I’d like to start an instance about “bragging”. It’d be an instance to celebrate small wins. Like “I did a thing I’ve been dreading!” I’m almost positive I have ADHD despite that my mother never bothered to have me checked because fuck me, im just a problem right? Well I’d like to set up an instance for people to kind of celebrate doing the things that we absolutely hate doing. “I got my house refinanced and saved $40 a month!” Awesome! I bet that took a lot of effort! Good on you doing the thing!

My doctor said if I have ADHD, that it’s not bad enough to do anything about. And I’ve heard stories of others getting the same thing. So it would be more of a positive support group for people who struggle with those types of things. Like, when I get happy about doing/finishing something mundane, people are like “uh …cool” cause they don’t get the struggle of doing something so mundane. It’s so much of a struggle that others don’t understand. So when you struggle with this kind of thing, saying “I cleaned the bathroom” gets a response like “that sucks” but that was a win for this person. I want a place for people to brag about knocking things off their never-ending list, to celebrate the win, even if it’s nothing to others.

So my question is how do I do this? How do I make a new instance?

Edit: just to stave off the main communication issue, I meant community, not Instance. If anyone has voyager and has done it can help, that’d be great. And I appreciate all help, both previous to the edit and after. Thank you all for the much more supportive place than reddit.

Ah, I think I understand. Although, my take on those dullster communities is that they’re less about being a boring human but more of a recognition that a lot of tasks are pretty mundane but deserve a place to be discussed/celebrated. There may be value to be found in posting your successes and discussing them.

I don’t know of any communities that are specifically about what you’re looking for, but I guess you could also check in [email protected] and ask.
