    You should not. If it’s a legitimate entity who needs something from you, they will call again, email, text, snail mail or knock on your door. If it’s a scammer they still probably will call again, but at least you won’t have marked your number as active.

    In short, there’s no benefit to but some risk involved in calling back.

      Funny enough posting this gave me the confidence to call them. It was a legit call but regarding sth. that already had been taken care of in the meantime.
