I assume they could when they control the legislature, and Shapiro or another dem is governor. It will need to be codified into law because the courts are calling it a tax. I like seeing PA making attempts even when it gets blocked. PA has such easy and cheap access to its own gas and coal, it might be one of the toughest states to get to transition to renewables. They have so much gas especially in Western PA…It’s not like trying to get an addict it stop using, it’s like asking the drug cartel to stop selling.

I’m hoping that changes. People were expecting PA to swing heavy red in the mid terms and it didn’t. It was very close. I’m hoping that mean in the general we can get a strong blue turn out.

Doubtful with the current maps, but anything is possible. The legislature flip was shocking enough

The maps are actually reasonably fair. The Senate seats up in 2022 didn’t have enough competitive districts for Dems to win the Senate, but the other half in 2024 provides a decent opportunity. The Senate is actually more favorable to Democrats than the House districts.

There are about 27 Senate districts that are blue-leaning or 50/50 under the new maps. The House on the other hand actually tilts red just a bit.
