Recently started watching old 90s and 80s shows just for the fun of it, because I’m bored with all of the new stuff that’s coming out, and I fell into Knight Rider.
My review of the show so far aside, it’s got straight up the most banger theme music I have heard in a TV show in a very long time.
It got me wondering what other TV shows have really great theme songs?

Arthur theme song kinda slaps.
Sometimes when I’m bored and just to fill the space I will start singing this. It’s a great theme song.
I commented because I was thinking of the theme song for Doug and then I listened to this because I wanted to hear it again and I realized it’s a completely different song.
It’s still a great song, though. It’s just not Doug.

Fresh Prince
I feel like if you had said this before the Oscar Slap, I would have said hell yes. It’s like quintessential 90s TV show theme song.
And it definitely stands on its own, but I feel like it’s lost some of its luster. I can’t listen to this and differentiate the Fresh Prince from Will Smith the Person.
Still a damn good song, though.
I second Miami Vice. Also, Airwolf is probably my favorite theme music of all time.
This theme song evokes in me the feeling of leaving a girl’s apartment at 3 o’clock in the morning.
You hooked up, you had fun, but now it’s time to go back home to the real world, you have to go to work in the morning.
That series was actually awesome to watch, and the theme hits the spot. Would rewatch if there weren’t tons of great series i haven’t seen yet.

If I had to find a flaw with it, I would save this theme does not scream Star Trek.
If it were on an independent French film about Patrick Stewart being a wine farmer, going through an emotional close to the story of his life, it would fit just as well as it does as this theme.
The wine is almost ripe on the vine.
Season 3 CLOSING theme is where it’s at

That was composed by Ron Wasserman! He also created the theme for Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers.
My god, it’s a crying shame I had to come down this far to find this one.
It’s really really good.
This is the theme song that plays for an ADHD person the first time the Adderall kicks in.

Peacemaker opening is definitely a good theme.
That’s the kind of music you want to wake up for because you’re so excited about your life you’re gonna go and do something amazing.
Peacemaker Season One. Season Two just doesn’t have the same pep.
Just finished both and thought that at first but season 2 grew on me and fit the season theme better. Choreography for season 1 though was definitely more fun. Just songs though, both slap.

Really good, but it doesn’t have high adventure that’s beyond compare.
The extended version is a fucking banger. Guy makes duck songs with his guitar. Hendrix might have been able to make a guitar sing, but I never heard him make it quack.

How do people notice that kinda thing?
The vast majority of music is in 4/4 time in consistent groups measures and close enough that it either matches up or can be slightly sped up or slowed down without being noticeable.
Gummi Bears must be up there too.
I’ve never seen a single episode of Magnum PI, but I regularly listen to the theme song. I think you might like it if you liked Knight Rider.
Inspector gadget had a pretty great one for a cartoon. Also an honorable mention for giligans Island.
