This article is pretty shit; clearly biased and doesn’t provide any evidence.

The video shows Hamas members saying “bye bye” repeatedly while waving, and there’s no evidence for what the article claims. So you’re expected to take the word of the publishers for it. The website has the Israeli rag in it’s logo. It’s up to you to decide if you do or do not blindly trust it.

Keep in mind that the hostages Hamas releases are consistently shown to be in good condition, while Palestinian prisoners who have been imprisoned for no reason (practically hostages) are more often than not subject to torture. One group is acting as a terrorist organization would, and thinks it’s “gross” to show how much better the actual terrorist organization is.

Like in the headline, the article, and the video, the armed Hamas terrorists are telling the hostages to “keep waving”.

As in they’re using the hostages and are telling them what to do for their propaganda video.

Turn the volume up. It’s when the mother and the child are inside the car, waving.
The article also points to a video on twitter/x that slows that part down.

0:16-0:17 He’s saying “keep waving”. You’re welcome to watch the slowed down version or slow it down yourself.

At 0:16 he says “وَدّعْ” sounds like "wad-di’ " it means “say goodbye”. The hostages haven’t even entered the vehicle yet, and the militant helping them to get in starts waving. I slowed it down to 0.5, but I still cannot hear what’s said at 0:17.

Like I wrote again and again, and like the linked video in the article, which I also linked here in a comment. You can hear it in the part when they’re inside the car, not before it.
Clearly you’re more interested in dismissing it and accusing me of things instead though.

If it’s just “an exchange”, why did he have to tell them to “keep waving”?
They are armed, with guns and are with Hamas, which kidnapped them in the first place.

What you’re talking about is before the part where they’re inside the vehicle.
Again, I’m talking about the part where they’re inside the vehicle.

I don’t know how you can try to convince people and convince me of something that I see with my own eyes. Try to be logical so that I can discuss with you. You do not understand Arabic and take advantage of the fact that people do not understand the language. Shame on your approach and shame on you

Ah you’re right, why wouldn’t they be friendly to the armed nutters who stormed into their home, killed their neighbours and family members, and held them hostage for almost two months?

…“Keep waving” sounds nothing like wada / wadaan or anything else in Arabic.
You can compare what is being said before they’re in the car and after they’re in the car and hear how different that sounds. Should be especially clear to you if you speak Arabic.
