I want to know what instances don’t play instance politics, and only defederate for very good reasons, with high amounts of transparancy and explanations on why and when they do. After seeing the drama going on with world, dbzer0, and other instances, I want to be on one that I won’t have to leave when it defederates from instances for silly reasons, preventing me, someone who doesn’t care about instance politics, from accessing normal communities i like browsing.

    I like .zip (lemmy and/or piefed) for this, if there’s any big instances we’re defederated with I’m sure not aware of them

    Your “very good reasons” are subjective. Differences in subjective opinions are the underlying framework of politics. Ergo all instances engage in instance politics.

    You must define what you’re “very good reasons” are and then find an instance that matches those.
