Nimrod is a biblical name, he was a mighty hunter. We only associate it with “dumbass” because Bugs Bunny sarcastically called Elmer Fudd “Nimrod” in an early cartoon.

Rabbits will gladly eat carrots, but they have a high sugar content that makes them unsuitable for regular consumption.

We associate rabbits with carrots because Bugs Bunny ate one while parodying a character from the 1934 movie It Happened One Night.

Bugs Bunny has an impressive ability to warp our understanding of the world around us.

Story goes, he woke Mel Blanc from a coma. He was unresponsive for a couple of weeks, until a doctor addressed Bugs instead of Mel. They say Mel responded as Bugs and woke up.

Well, kinda. Nimrod as an insult came from nowhere but he eats carrots because rabbits were/are known to destroy carrot patches.

But they don’t eat the taproot (orange part) underground, they eat the greens which kills the plant just the same

Crossdressing was always fun and cool, but it wasn’t until Bugs Bunny first dressed up as a lady in the 1939 cartoon Hare-Um Scare-Um that we collectively realized how sexy it was.
