For several days now… Does it come back?
It’s still listed by Proton: https://protonvpn.com/download-firefox-extension
This is probably temporary. It happened before when Mozilla wanted some changes, and until they were made, Firefox delisted it. So maybe it’s the same. But it is actively developed and maintained as you can see from Proton’s site.
Weird. It’s still linked from the website. It’s just not there. Maybe they messed up?
I guess use a VPN that doesn’t fund Nazis?
Is it because of all the russian propaganda they’ve been teaming up with? Maybe FF kicked them out
Source?

I’d love to be proven wrong, but this Russian / Trump stuff just keeps popping up for them over and over again. Can’t be a coincidence.
lol people talk about it so it must be some true conspiracy? That’s uh… some bold logic there…
I’d love to be proven wrong. There are lots of privacy companies who DON’T have these issues, not sure why the Russian/GOP/Trump thread keeps showing up for them.
That’s not how it works. You’re making a claim, the burden is on you to prove your claim. So far you’ve provided nothing.
Proton had to make a huge “hey we’re sorry” on Reddit yesterday or two days ago, sublinked from the link I provided
The right-winger signed up through Proton’s “partner” program, which literally anybody can do. You can do it right now.
For one event. One event cropped up a lot. That does not a trend make.
It’s the same two things that keep getting hashed out over and over again: Andy Yen publicly supported a trump-appointee who claimed to be hard on big tech (who ended up getting ousted for not kowtowing to Trump’s bullshit, so Yen was right anyway), and the recent French right-winger who signed up for Proton’s “partner program” which is open for literally anybody to sign up.
That’s it. And this new Russian-cooperative shit has yet to have any actual sources given for the claims.
I’m convinced this is part of a smear campaign to rile up the idiots and discredit Proton (not saying they’re perfect, but bullshit needs to be called out for what it is - bullshit). Proton is genuinely a very secure platform, they cannot read any of your shit as long as it’s encrypted. They do not have the encryption keys for your shit. But like every other service provider, they still have to comply with local laws, which means if they’re handed a valid subpoena for all the info they have on you, they are legally obligated to hand that over. End of story.
