Last night I turned on the TV for the first time in over a year and Netflix popped up with a 91 page terms agreement. On page 89 it said you forfeit your life and all property to Netflix and will unconditionally submit to being spayed and/or neutered, to serve the remainder of your life as a slave in a coal mine. How many of y’all are part of this MAGA initiative for cheap labor?

I regularly read them, and the latest one I didn’t agree with was Strava. They added some terms regarding use of data and storage on foreign servers if I remember correctly.

Thing is, I couldn’t log in to delete my account without accepting the terms first, so I had to contact the support team separately.

With couchsurfing.com it was even worse, they introduced paid accounts only (minimum was just like $1 per month or something, but still), and they basically sent be overdue notices despite me not agreeing to the terms, and their contact form was only available behind the paywall. Had to escalate that to the European data protection agency to get my account terminated.

A few years ago I e-mailed paypal with a few nice insults, and I never want to have anything to do with them again, and they shall never send me anything again, and of course I do not agree to their newest change of GTC (and of course I have stopped using their shit already many years ago).

They never sent a reply. They still send me e-mails with changes of GTC every few years.

A lot of TnC’s have opt out forced arbitration. I do often read the TnC’s and follow the steps to opt out. It’s often as tedious as possible, like writing a letter, printing, and mailing it. Really depends though on whether it is some service I think I’ll be using often and that could have big negatives from not opting out like my bank account.
