Why do you think all these people were driven by cynicism? Why do you hold yourself to be so above “the average person” that you can’t even communicate with them? Why do you consider cynicism such a strong driving force and curiosity so weak? Also your example of a person walking in a random direction in a forest is peak curisity behaviour. Curiosity is walking where no one has been to see where it leads. Why would that not be what drives new discoveries?

If you accept that other people function differently, then why do you exclaim absolute points about how no one does research out of curiostity and everyone does it out of cynicism and/or spite? LLM are entirely the wrong tool for that. They’ve used neural nets for their anti cheat for a while but cheating has nothing to do with language so large language models are not for that. They could however use them to police the steam forums but only if a comment gets reported otherwise you’re putting every comment through an llm which would cost a fuckton

This got me thinking. One of the big things i like about steam is the ease of use on Linux and the achievements with the community profile and friends to share it with on top of it. So what if you made those features federated. A protocol that allows you to attach a game to it and log achievements and display them on friendica. You could also attach the executables from steam or gog or whatever you launch through lutris or heroic or whatever. I think atm Devs put in extra stuff to make steam achievements work but what if there was a common interface for it?

It is sexual abuse even by your definition if photos of real children get sexualised by AI and land on xitter. And afaik know that is what’s happened. These kids did not consent to have their likeness sexualised.
