12·3 days agoSatisfactory. It’s so fun automatizing stuff for 4 hours that could have been done manually in 30 minutes. I like looking at all of my work in the game and thinking “how, this is impressive”.
If you like building I guess Minecraft is an epic choice. I have sunk hundreds of hours into the game, easily

Same here in Slovenia. We have RTVslo and they produce a lot of (mostly) unbiased news. Thankfully the right wingers no longer have control over it, which they did while Janez Janša was the prime minister.

0·9 days agoMy own domain name, on which I host a whole array of services (such as this Lemmy server). Bitwarden is also cool, I pay for it even tho I self host it to support development. But even if one doesn’t self host, it’s still worth it. Only 10€ per year for such an epic service. A VPS at Hetzner is definetly worth it. A relatively cheap service for all the stuff you can do on it.

Yes, this! Also, I have a fear of that I could have just appeared in a simulation, with all of my memories preloaded. It feels so eerie not being able to know if I appeared right this second, or if we’re in a simulation or not.
Actually, the probabilities that we’re in a simulation seem quite high. Imagine a universe, where there are 10 technologically advanced enough civilizations that start simulations. But why would the start just one simulation? Why not millions of them? And then the people inside said simulations also start them. So all-in-all, there are billions of simulations. It would be more probable that we’re in one of them, rather than that we’re in a real universe.
Oh shit, just reading about this scares me. It must have been so terrifying, not knowing what’s in the deep water
