If you like fedora as a base, you can install the Gnome version of fedora and install the Pop Shell. It has autotiling that you can turn on and off while you get used to it if you want. Its what I run on Nobara and it works perfectly fine for me.

KISS launcher is exactly what I was looking for in a launcher. 5 always used apps at the bottom calendar and weather widgets on the home screen, search for everything else. It seems like it used to have a lot of problems with custom icons but lately it’s been pretty much perfect.

I can personally vouch for the Cooler Master NR200. Its super nice to build in and very versatile with PSU and GPU configuration.

The version I built for a friend had a 5600x with a Noctua NH-U9S and a 6700xt and absolutely zero issues with cooling.

I think that’s the biggest thing standing in the way personally. There are 6 or 7 Spotify-like services and 10 or 11 Netflix-like services. Some people might lump YouTube in with Netflix but it really isn’t since all the content on YouTube is user generated. There’s nobody else doing the same thing YouTube is doing at that scale. The closest is Facebook and TikTok but the way they deliver ads seems to be a lot different as well.

I have a 500gb SSD that I paid the same amount for as a 2tb SSD costs now. Ram and SSD prices are super good right now. I’d say 32gb ram and 2tb SSD is definitely worth it for the price of the whole system.
