Republican Rep. Chuck Kopp of Alaska, which shares a border with the Yukon and is separated from the contiguous U.S. by Canada, says the state doesn’t support the president’s trade war and annexation bid against Canada.

He has proposed a joint resolution in the state legislature that would affirm Canada’s sovereignty and recognize the enduring, centuries-old ties between Alaska and Canada.

Alaska could join Canada couldn’t it? Damn … it may be worth getting an Alaskan mailing address.

My bet is that Putin demands Alaska as a token of good faith in order for HitlerPig to join the new alliance with Russia, China, and North Korea, and HitlerPig gives it to him. He’ll also give Taiwan to China for the same reason.

This is why Trump wants Greenland, to balance off the loss of oil and other reserves when Putin claims Alaska again, like he said he will.

Sure, as long as it could get through the US military. There’s a lot of presence up there, including a lot of nuclear missiles and units related to missile defense. Not to mention, the vast untapped resources the Trump admin and republicans want to sell to corporations. The federal government couldn’t afford to just let Alaska go. It’s more likely a state like California or Texas would be allowed to secede from the Union than Alaska.
