Reminder for those that comment that hate and rude comments are against the community’s rules
Frankly this whole thread is kind of fucked dude
Yea. There is “having personal tastes” but a lot of these comments are just straight up judgmental of other people’s choices of personal expression and using this post as an excuse to espouse some pretty harmful rhetoric.
Big boobs.
What always disturbs me, and it seems worryingly prevalent on The Apprentice, is drawn-on eyebrows.
On the one hand, it does look weird up close, or if done poorly. On the other I can see the potential in being able to have whatever kind of eyebrows you want to go with your look.
Mowed lawns. Just let it grow, it’s easier and healthier.
This is literal and an innuendo.
Ultra low body fat, e.g. high fashion models, body builders. You don’t see it that much in real life, but it’s pretty heavily promoted in media.
This is the worst. So damaging to the overall health of everyone.
Yeah, and especially mental health. Not many people are really going to go that far (it’s a LOT of effort), but it’s so unattainable that even fit people often don’t feel good about themselves. Especially if you add all the makeup and doctored photos.
How dehydrated does a person have to be before they start absorbing water through the skin?
I’m going to guess literally dead. Human skin isn’t very permeable, by design.
Overly full lips. There’s a bandwidth there where it should fit the rest of the facial features. Filling them up with collagen just almost never looks good.
Rarely even a little bit looks good. You can just tell immediately.
Personally, I’d extend it to the entirety of the bimbo look. Why the fuck would anyone want to look like a cheap sex doll!? (ok well I can kinda’ understand it as a fetish thing, but when ever parts of that look extend to “beauty” like huge lips… ugggh)
Symmetry.
I’m still learning to embrace the beauty in asymmetry to this day😭
I dislike most artificial “enhancements” to boost your attractiveness.
Things like fake lashes, hair extensions, fake nails, breast implants, BBLs, lip injections, botox, and so on. This also extends for me to things like overly excessive tattoos, piercing, and makeup.
I personally like people who look and feel real. I don’t want to date a mannequin. It’s a okay to have flaws, nobody is perfect. Your flaws are a part of your charm.
I’ve always disliked plastic surgery, botox and heavy makeup. But that’s normal enough
My real hot take is I am disgusted by long, fake nails. They make my skin crawl. They’re so cumbersome, I truly don’t understand how people love with them
Same on both of those!
Absolutely yes to the nails. Those are disguising and very impractical
Yes to all of these.
welcome to the evening news, man creates thread so he can bitch about Black women. more at 5 when he phones back in to say how he’s entitled to his opinion.
Go outside and get a life. How can you be so miserable.
Truly ironic people are trying to say you’re the racist for calling someone else out for espousing racist rhetoric.
wow holy racist batman
The racist is the one bitching about long nails, a predominant standard of beauty in black culture, and how much it makes them uncomfortable.
Like, no one needs to hear your judgement of someone else’s choice of personal expression. Ever heard the phrase “ain’t got nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all”? This is where that applies.
Long nails are a thing with women of all races. I wouldn’t call it predominantly black. I’d call it predominantly tacky.
This response makes me take back what I said about your intent in my other comments. This thread is gross dude.
You and me on both counts dude, fuuuuuu—
So disgusting. And it looks sooo fake, like they don’t even make an effort to look real. They are thick as a bear claw bruh, looks like some fungus growing under them talons, Jesus. Get that nasty shit out of here.
I truly don’t understand how people love with them
Very carefully.
Thick butts. No thank you. A little bump is nice, but most of what’s out there is gross, and with a surface resembling asteroid impact craters.
You are probably looking at fat asses and not big asses
Nah, I really like em on the skinny side.
I am also not attracted to asses. I am bi, so it is very weird to not be.
Well, that’s me out then.
Thank God.
Plastic cosmetic surgery. It’s one thing if it is wanting to repair damage (injury, illness, etc), but just getting it to change your nose, breasts, whatever, or as a shortcut for hard work (think liposuction) I don’t understand at all.
thanks to all the men in the comments providing women with a free incel blocklist. your opinion may be useless, but at least no one appreciates you.
Lol you’re catching some votes but we’ve strayed from what OP was asking.
OP asking about beauty standards and people are straight up saying shit like “overalls” and “big boobs”.
Not bad opinions on their own but far from beauty standards
Big boobs are absolutely a common beauty standard. That’s why breast enlargement surgery exists. Overalls are not, however.
God forbid that people have opinions… Life could be fun, but we don’t want that! Seriously, your only reason for existence on social media seems to make other people’s day worse. That is miserable.
aww thank you. you just made my day hearing I make incels miserable. i hope you stay that way
Most of them, but by far makeup.
If someone enjoys it and wants to, I don’t judge.
But I seriously never saw a person who looks better with makeup. Even light makeup ( which can look good) still looks worse than just natural.
Also there is this vicious cycle where heavy makeup users have worse skin and more pimples so they feel pressure to but heavier makeup, which in turn worsens the skin condition.
People, be happy, love yourself, you are pretty for who you are.
5 year olds dressed up to look like a 19 year old going out for a one night stand. Kids are cute, and I was never into one night stands, but when the girl is 19 I can appreciate looking at a lot of skin.
Not a beauty standard per se, but I don’t like tattoos one bit.
It used to be “rebellious” to have a tattoo, but nowadays it seems like everyone has one - so maybe the truly rebellious thing now is not having them.
I don’t think tattoos have been about rebellion in a long time. It’s just art for your body.
Yeah but it used to be. Even Kat Von D is blacking out her tattoos so that it would be more provocative again which is how she likes it.
Depends on your background. If you’re from a Jewish or Muslim family pearls will be clutched.
It was always just art for your body.
People who got tattoos wanted to be able to express themselves in the way they desired, by decorating their body with artwork, and didn’t appreciate having their decision dictated by arbitrary standards that they did not agree to. They weren’t doing it for the sake of rebellion, it was just called rebellion because it went against the social expectations of the time.
People often do not understand the reason behind the act of rebellion and attribute those engaging in the activities as being done for the sake of rebellion itself instead of some deeper cause.
