Train is the best mode of travel. I don’t travel much, especially these days, but I love riding a train. You still get the same comforting bubble-feeling (for the next X hours my entire world is this train) but it’s much less cramped than a plane or a car. You have some freedom to move, walk around, or read, or watch something… or just watch the world fly by the window.

      Love a train ride.

I’ve done those cross country train trips and they are… Fantastic. If getting there fast isn’t a problem them train is so much fun. You see the country in such a unique way

Road trip every time. I absolutely hate flying now. With road trips, you have your own space, you take what can fit in the car, you can stop whenever you want. I love disconnecting while exploring the world organically.

Out of the two: fly first class. The honest answer is I’d rather be on a train or a ship, though.

Road trip any time. Next time we’re on our way back to Ireland, it’s via a new route. Usually it was via the UK, but since they decided to go full eijit mode last year, we decided they are not worth our time, money and sanity anymore. So, Netherlands, Belgium and only France it is for the future now.

Personally, I love to drive. I’ve done a 4000 mile round trip before. I think it’s great to see everything you’re traveling through, not just stare at a screen for 3 hours in a plane.

If it’s a domestic destination, I have plenty of time, and I have one or two other people I like to split the driving with me, I’ll take the road trip.

    Otherwise I’ll fly first class.

Depends on the price difference and the time involved. And the weather. And who’s driving.

Let’s say it’s me driving and the costs are covered, so the trip is free no matter what I choose. I think I’d pick the road trip.

But if it’s too cold or rainy I’ll pick the flight. Seems like a waste though, unless the flight is over 24hrs in which case I’d be happy to do so first class

I’m going with the flight. I’ve done plenty of long road trips, but I’ve never flown first class. Time is more of a constraint these days so I’d love to fly somewhere new and see something brilliant.

Would you rather sell your first born to afford a tank of gas, or get into a “flying” death trap operated by Beavis and Butthead?

    Nope.
