Everything in a computer is data - passwords are no different from novels and you could use War and Peace as your password as long as you hated whatever system needed to check it.
Passkey is usually used to describe a password you keep in a file usually with a public/private pairing though, with everything computer, this is only the general form and description.
I mentioned putting it in a password manager because, as mentioned, it’s just a string of text… if you want you can put the full executable bundle for Starcraft2 in your password manager - most have trivial ways to copy in whole files but, again, it’s just data.
Could you clarify what you mean by work? I think you’re talking about a creative work like a novel/video game/whatever
Is taking away guns from people what you mean by prevention? Because if so I think that’s a genius idea and will probably be extremely effective.
Even just sane universal background checks and red flag laws might help!
…
Oh, it’s just predictive analytics that’ll shovel money into the pockets of palantir or someone similar? I guess that might help? Can we try my thing first?
My voice is my passport, verify me.
A passkey is a super general term. It’s usually something you can store in a file (because you can store any data in a file) though sometimes it may have a hardware element. You can probably save your passkey in a file and you certainly can copy it onto a USB drive.
You can also save passkeys into password managers which is what I personally do so (coupled with a syncing script) I can access it from any of my devices.

I will fucking lose it if Harris replaces Khan - the FTC is fucking killing it right now.
I tend to cook larger meals and I’m not opposed to just chucking shit in a slow cooker to make a stew thing. I generally cook (complexly) three times a week. On Sundays we usually make something to last a few days (especially as my partner suffers from migraines) and we keep emergency meal stuff around like sausages to pan fry for a simple dinner.
I, personally, don’t really count pan frying some frozen perogies, eggs, or sausage as a “hobby” cook - that’s just ten minutes on auto pilot to achieve sustenance… so I guess my personal suggestion for fun cookery is to start with one big meal a week and step up from there as you’re comfortable. There are plenty of great recipes that you can cook a bunch of then enjoy over the next few days.
Eh… they often are abrasive but it’s because most of them genuinely believe that consumption of meat is unethical. I certainly don’t appreciate being on the receiving end of their criticism but I can respect that it’s at least logically consistent.
A vegan owning a pet isn’t hypocritical to most of them - PETA was anti-pet for a while but it seems they came to a better comprehension https://www.peta.org/about-peta/why-peta/pets/
In general, though, vegans are against using animals for their matter and animal mistreatment. Ethical omnivores often refuse to eat animal products from factory farms due to the excessive cruelty involved in that process and vegans do take it further (I’ve always been a bit weirded out by their refusal to eat non-meat products like cheeses and the like but I do understand the logic).
Inviting a pet into your life, if you provide a loving home for them to be in, isn’t against mainline veganism - though people keeping pets they can’t properly care for usually is. It’s all about making sure animals are treated well.
Some vegans just get hyper violent about it though.
So the trick with starches are that you’re adding the thick gooeyness manually instead of relying on the specific temperature transformation of the sugar. It essentially let’s you cheat since you only need to toast the sugar for flavor and the starch will emulate the firm ball texture.
I’d note that you can make a gooey caramel with only sugar though but you really want a candy thermometer because you’re dealing with pretty precise ranges of temperatures here king arthur flour has a good breakdown of what’s going on and if you want to make it starchless this will probably help: https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/blog/2022/12/12/how-to-make-caramel
GNU Terry Pratchett.
IMO, not being able to comprehend cruelty makes someone an ass. The dude in this story could have been kind, polite… they could have helped mow the lawn of their elderly neighbor that’s no longer able to do so themselves.
Regardless of how otherwise good you are treating a pet that you’ve accepted responsibility for and who, potentially, fully trusts you as family like this… that makes you an ass.
Anyways I think my only real objection to your original statement is that I don’t think veganism is relevant to this story. I’d say that vegans are more likely to treat their pet well but it’s not a guarantee - even among vegans that made that choice for an ethical reason there are still assholes.
I think you need a starch to prevent crystallization. You might have better luck adding rice/potato/corn starch to make sure the caramels come out creamy. Also this is mostly relevant to soft caramels, if you’re making caramel hard candies you can probably just allow a certain amount of crystallization.
Ditto with vegans. Being a vegan doesn’t magically make someone not an ass.
Damn, it’s a market responding rationally!
Non vegans can also have empathy.
Fuck windows… where my Linux bros at?
I guess if you really need to use windows you could still do it outside - but that shit (and cows) are no longer going to be allowed in buildings.
They said twelve graves… not 12,000 graves.
Hey, with all that time on your hands you’re going to be obsessively polishing something… and that knight probably took certain vows.
As a software developer writing out lines from the dictionary isn’t part of my job description… they’d be violating my employment contract.
Bosses can’t just demand you do something… your work needs to be stuff you agreed to do.
